Mark Weiner – Owner & Lead Instructor
One85 LLC was founded by Mark Weiner. Mark is a retired Massachusetts State Police Sergeant with 26 years of service. He has extensive experience responding to and managing a comprehensive range of traffic incidents. He has been a certified TIM instructor for over a decade, bringing fundamental TIM training to over a thousand responders of all disciplines. Since his retirement from the State Police in 2020, Mark has remained deeply committed to TIM training for responders, providing online training services during the COVID lockdowns and affiliating with public and private entities involved in the highway safety and TIM training communities. He continues steadfast work in enhancing the safety of out responders and roadway users.
It was as a State Police patrol supervisor that Mark first identified the need and value of specific TIM training targeted to the secondary responder who would have greater latitude and ability to apply techniques to make incident scene safer and more efficient. Over the course of two years and hundreds of hours of development, the framework was built for the first of its kind “Traffic Incident Management for Police Supervisors” course. This framework is customized for each agency, taking into consideration supervisory roles and responsibilities as well as departmental policy and state laws and statutes. To date, nearly 100 recently promoted and future Massachusetts State Police Sergeants have completed this class as a component of their supervisory instruction.
